After trying to restore my system after removing Vista SP1, I can't boot into windows and get the following message:
\Windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe
0xc0000428
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file
I have tried to use the Startup Repair on the vista DVD, but when I get to the "Attempting to repair errors screen", the blue bar keeps scrolling across but nothing else happens (I have left it for many hours).
I've also tried pressing F8 when booting and using the "Disable Digital Signatures" option, but the system just reboots.
Short of reinstalling Vista (which I'm trying to do at the moment, but this also looks like it is just hanging).
Does anyone have any ideas?
