I accidentally knocked a computer when it was turned on, the computer crashed so I restarted it and it came up with some errors about how there were corrupted files and it needed to run a check disk, so I let it do whatever it wanted to.
When it then rebooted again I logged on using the usual username and password but none of the user files where present - it looked just like when a new user is created and they 1st log on.

After looking further it's created a user folder in documents and settings called user.ADMIN, where 'user' is the username I've previously been using to log in.

All the files have been recovered in the previous user folder, but windows is using the user.ADMIN user folders when I log in.

Any ideas why?

I can just copy the files across from 'user' to 'user.ADMIN' but it seems strange it's done this when it said all files were recovered?
