Corrupted Files?? How would I check?

Ok after tearing my hair out thinking Photoshop has something wrong with it I find that it hasn't And that its the folders/files themselves.

Ok I have a folder with some images in that I am trying to open, resize and then save to a different folder. This is all for my webpage so thats where the files are in my Website folder. But I also have a copy of these files in another folder on the same HDD and when i opened these images and resized and saved them into another folder there was no problem. So I have copied these resized images to the website folder and as soon as i tried to open one photoshops crashed???

So i am totallly confused and annoyed as if i move or delete the website folders it will screw my website up in dreamweaver. I can only think that somehow the images in the website folder have become corrupt? Is there a way to find this out and a way to fix this?

Thanks mate will try that out.

It really weird as it will open some files one time and let me save them and then it will crash on saving a file but if when i start photoshop again it won't crash on the same file again but a different one

Also windows explorer sees all these files and can open them in photoshop with no problems, so i am well confused as there is no logic to it.
