Just bought Rome:Total War, and patched it up to 1.5
Went into the video options and tweaked about with them (auto-detect gave me 1024x769, and a rannge of medium/high settings). I changed everything that was high down to medium, and tried to switch up to 1280x800, which is my laptops native resolution. However, when it resizes the game, its all corrupted. It looks kinda like the water in this picture. (Note, picture not actually mine). I can make out the menu through the corruption, but I certainly wouldn't like to play the game like that. I did try to printscreen the problem, but when I pasted it in paint, it came out fine.
I'm guessing then that its a problem with my graphics card, rather than the game?
I'm playing this on a laptop, 1.7Ghz, 1Gb ram, 128Mb Gforce FX go5650.
Edit: Just updated to latest drivers, no change.
