Corsa 1997/R reg parts?

Right guys i need a new starter motor for my 1.4i 16v R reg corsa 5dr. I have looked in the usual places but can only find second hand parts and i want new, as i have only just had the head done and want to keep it all shiny

cheaper = 2nd hand ;]

are the engines different after 97? maybe thats why your struggling to get the right part new after 9 years.

I believe they completely redesigned the corsa in 1998 including the engine

pitty if i cannot get the part i want new i have seen it on the bay for £15 but i dont realy want to have to get it from there.

Starters will almost all be reconditioned units, your local motor parts shop should be able to supply one, or a auto electrics place. They will need your old unit, a full recon starter is as good as a new one.

Get a part code and stick it in Google, there'll be plenty of new ones around somewhere as it'll be a Bosch unit, I imagine.

Lucas Part no will be LRS898, Bosch part no should be 1003. Thats probably the 2 most popular makes.

thanks guys i have just been speaking to my mecanic and he said it should be no more than £60 for parts and labour so not too bad realy.
