Corsa bonnet release snapped

A very long flat bladed electrical screwdriver and a torch.
Remember the catch is slightly left of centre when facing the front of the car and the cable/catch moves to the left.
 
Which bit has snapped, the bit inside the car to release the tight spring, or the lever under the bonnet to let you lift the panel?
 
Look around for any of the cable either end and get a set of Mole grips on it.
If not go back to my first post. Its easy enouth with a torch and a long enouth screwdriver just to knock to catch over.
