Need help with this one guys. I've got a 54 plate corsa life 1.2. Knew there were a few problems with it when I brought it but for the price I got it at it still seemed worth it.

Anyway, just before winter kicked in I was getting the wet foot wells, so I did my homework, found out where the water could be coming in and did what I could... Long story short I had the carpet out for a couple of weeks whilst that dried out, plugged holes and changed the heater matrix (as there was very little heat coming out and coolant was being lost).
She didn't leak for the two weeks the carpets were out and so the carpet went back in and for a few months she remained dry.
The weekend just gone however, I got in and noticed a wet patch in the drivers foot well, squeezed it with my foot and low and behold there's a couple inch of water down there again! I've checked the coolant and that's looking pretty dried out which obviously points to heater matrix again but I'm still getting abundance of heat from the blowers.
There hasn't been any rain recent (especially enough to warrant the amount of water I have in the car)
One more thing that points to it being the water system itself is that since the puddle arrived, the car has actually been running a lot smoother, its usually a bit juddery on pull off but I used to put this down to the gearbox as I have another one to put in it soon due to the current one being a bit knackered lol So now I'm thinking maybe it was some sort of lock in the system.

Is there anything I can try before I end up taking her tho the garage for a pressure test?

Aircon Drainage pipe has come off and is pouring into the car and not outside the car, or it's blocked up and backing up into the car ?

No aircon on it mate, the only pipes I can think of that come into the car carrying water are the ones to the heater matrix.

Perhaps I should try some sort of sealant around the join?

But then that's not going to solve the juddering I'm guessing?

My mum has a Tigra, which recently suffered a wet driver's footwell. It's basically a Corsa so the same applies. We determined the cause to be the seals around the brake servo mounting plates etc. After this was sorted, it seems to have stayed dry.

Edit: Beaten!

I sealed the brake servo with the original leak along with the rear light and a split in the body work in the bottom right of the boot (I believe it was in a shunt before I brought it) and also the heater matrix is brand new with all new rubber seals etc.
With the lack of rain I can't see it being an external leak, and with the coolant being empty and the juddering before the leak logic is telling me that its something to do with the system.
Will try and seal the join on the matrix and let you all know how it gets on.
