Corsa VXR *facepalm*

G'morning OcUK,

Yesterday I made the discovery that my brother has shelled out £14.5k for a brand new Corsa.

I made a brave effort trying to explain to him why this was an abysmal decision, however, he was having none of it.

This post is merely for two things:

1) To show him what an idiot he's been by the educated replies of the OcUK forumites.

2) For me to vent my frustration that anything I said to him didn't manage to penetrate his skull.

That is all...

The Corsa VXR is actually a really good little car, and £14.5k is a bargain for a brand new car so capable.

Standard vs. Standard it'll keep up with an ST that costs £20k, the interior is nice looking and well built with some awesome seats, reasonable ride quality, well handling with plenty of performance.

For an example of its performance, the VXR currently holds the super-mini record around the 'ring, a few seconds quicker than the 197, too - so those posting up the fifth gear test can shove that up their ass :D

I honestly don't see the problem.

Pointless comparing it to a used car, because if he wanted a used car, he surely would have bought a used VXR and saved himself a few K.

Subjective I know, but I also absolutely love the way they look;

Oh and Im 36.. if I had no ambition, no aspirations, no desire to further myself.. how could I afford one....well the answer is simple, I couldn't.

Live and let live, accept and enjoy other peoples differences, its what makes us all unique and individual and allows for debate and conversation.

Not everyone thinks success is owning a BMW...

I hope you have a great time driving your car. They are a lot of fun to own and drive.

Well put. :)
