Hi,

As per the title really, wondering if the H170i is worth the extra over the H150i?
New build, don't have any parts yet, expecting the case to be a Corsair 7000D (so hopefully there's room for either).
Will probably be looking to cool a 7950X3D as I doubt I'll be patient enough to wait for the 7800X3D. My understanding is that these CPUs run hot regardless of the cooler, so not sure it will make a difference.

Now I'm probably in the minority here, but I quite like Corsair's iCUE software, which is partly why I was going for the H170i or H150i, but is there a better AIO I should go for?

Thanks.

Are the benefits you get from having a larger surface area with the 420 outweighed by the better selection of fans available at 120mm?

I find with AIOs I've often had one fan that gets noisy at higher rpm, so if you need to replace the fans the selection is better for 120mm.

I always go 140mm fan for aio as it offers better cooling as the fan can run better at low rpms and still have great cooling, I'm running one on my 13900ks and it's doing a good job.
