im interested to know your max voltages clocks and timings as i have a set of these and just got myself a nice 939 DFi board and an opteron 170 with good stepping so im looking forward to clocking the hell out of them but dont want to kill them obviously.

any advice / information is welcome, cheers.

and just incase anyones curious its these sticks...

although i did get them for £95  :D

I think these sticks have 6,3,3,2 timings with an intel system and 6,3,3,2.5 timings with an AMD system. It is good quality ram although it won't overclock beyond about 230 MHz or so, and that is with looser timings.

There is always a lively debate about whether higher frequency or low timings are best. My view is that with an AMD system you are best leaving the timings nice and tight (like they are on default) and clocking the CPU up whilst leaving the memory on a divider. That superb DFI board you have, will have loads of different dividers to choose from. :)

AMD64 based systems are basically about getting the CPU to clock as high as possible and running the memory on a divider will have little to no impact on performance. Having enough memory (which you do) is the most important concern and then latency after that.
