I have just ordered Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200PT TwinX to replace my 1GB (2x512) OCZ GOLD PC4400...which I loved as I could run it a 1:1 with the FSB @250mhz on my X2 3800...this gave me 2.5ghz on the CPU and 500mhz on the memory [all at stock volts, so nice and cool and stable]

What is the best way to get the max from this memory...will it achive the same speed if I slack off the timings? or am I best running the 333mhz divider, and keep everything as tight as possible?

What is this memory capable of?. Baring in mind I don't want to compromise my CPU overclock.

This is on a ABIT KN8 SLI skt 939 Board.

Cheers.

Dunno bout the 3200 but my 3500LL run 3-2-3-6 at 264FSB 1-1.
It's been rock solid for me for a good 6 months now, no issues here :)

I'd imagine you'd get your 250 at reasonably tight timings.

Well thats what I'm hoping...I guess I'll start by putting everything back to stock, and then up the FSB bit by bit. The OCZ ran a timings of 2.5-3-3-7, so if I can still achieve that I'll be very happy - plus have the benefit of the extra 1gb.

I would still like tho hear from someone who has/had this RAM and what they managed to get out of it.
