Corsair 2GB DDR2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 or Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4

Not a huge amount in my opinion. The XMS2-6400C4 clock really well anyway, I've got a set and they're at 1,040MHz, 5-5-5-9 and they're completely stable. They'd probably go higher if I could push my processor any further.

I haven;t seen anyone have the dominator but the specs are awesome, if the £50 isn't an issue I'd buy them for the fun of it, either way though your going to get some stonking ram, please post back your results when you've decided what you want. :D

Am I right in saying that memory timings dont matter on the Intel platform?

They do increase performance for sure, I have done no comparisons to AMD though, on super PI for instance large gains can be had by playing with the timings, although I'm sure if you bought value ram and had a 6800 verses a 6600 with super doopa ram I would think the value ram along with the 6800 would come out in front, and the difference in price in the memory is MASSIVE although the difference in a 6600-6800 is also MASSIVE.
