Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB)

Depends on if you change your CPU settings. Assuming you are running from stock settings, you can run this at 800MHz by changing the CPU/DRAM ratio to 2/3 although the motherbaord should do this for you.
If you overclock in future, you'll have to bring this down to syncronous 1:1.

I do intend on overclocking the cpu, 3.0ghz is the target on that front. Was just asking because I haven't quite fully got my head around the whole overclocking thing just yet :)

It's not good overclocking RAM, but it is quite fast and very stable at stock speeds and timings.

It will run with an FSB of 400MHz (800MHz effective) with a CPU : DRAM ratio of 1:1.

Since a Q6600 runs at 266MHz (533MHz effective) then you have plenty of room for overclocking.

:)
