Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-6400C4D OCing

I'm thinking of getting this ram to go with a E6600 and a P5N-E board. I heard they can oc to 500 easily, but will the ram go up too? If anyone has any info please let me know.

most people get 1000Mhz out of it at 4-4-4-12. i tried briefly at 999.98 and it seemed to enjoy it!

sadly my CPU is running a little hot at the moment to try it for any long period of time.

excellent RAM though!

cool, im glad it can reach at least 499. my room is really cold so i guess I could oc it.

it will take up to 2.3 volts without voiding the warranty, and there is an optional fan attachment if you want to go cooler

also, hearing nothing but good things from other owners!!

does the fan cooler plug into the 4 pin molex plug am i right?

i dont have it, so not sure. its on OCuk site somewhere in the other coolers section

The Dominator fan plugs into a mobo fan header(3 pin) & i've had mine running@ 500Mhz 4-4-4-12 using 2.2v with no probs at all

I'm sure if i was to slacken the timings,i may be able to squeeze a bit more out of it

Would'nt expect a great deal more though

Surprising since most(all above revision 1.2 i think) have Promos ICs & not Micron D9 ICs

Was originally disappointed when i found this out,but not anymore,they clock well enough for me
