Looking to buy one of these, but wondering about the USB ports - do they use motherboard headers or just extension cables to plug it into the back of the motherboard?

Ah okay, read in some places that it has just a generic extension cable from the ports to route around to the back of your motherboard. Do you think this is a good case for around £60?

Completely agree, one of the best cases for budget builds out there.

It is a lovely case, though the annoying thing about it is the lack of h100 (or other variants) support.

The roof only needed to be another 5mm/10mm higher above the motherboard and it would have been perfect..

For the same money i like the BitFenix Ronin, that doesn't have the same problem.

Don't think I'll ever be getting something like the h100 lol, only something such as the h80

The ronin is a great case too. It does give you the option of a dual rad in the future which is always good, but either one you choose you are going to end up with a great case.

Hmm, wondering if I should go for the Ronin now lol

Personally if i knew i was NEVER going for a h100 or so, id pick up the 300R, its just so pretty. :)

But thats personal opinion. The ronin (i would say) is the better case (on paper/in practise) but the 300R is more my cuppa tea visually. Though it does have fan grills on the window....

See i can't decide either..

The Ronin is Out of stock now, so decision made? :)

I have a 300r, had to limit myself to a H80i, don't regret it at all, temps are great and the airflow in the case is brilliant.

As Doomed said it's a very pretty case! When I need/want a H100i I will get a 750D until then I am more than happy with my purchase, was going to get a windowed 300R but my screen currently sits infront of that panel so it's pointless for me.

Yeah, those window grills are swaying me :/ Probably going to stick with the 300R , it just seems better to me - I don't know why, but it does

If you did go with the non windowed 300r you could always consider putting the window in yourself as a mod, that way there are no nasty fan grills to be seen in the perspex.

Plenty of guides around for doing it and you can pick up a sheet of perspex rather cheaply these days cut to size.

Here's someone who has done exactly that and it does look good compared to the stock window with grills.

Well it's a couple of quid more for the windowed one so may as well go for that one tbh

I've got a 300R and it has a H100 in the top !
It only takes a small amount of fettling (drill 4 or 8
holes in top mesh)to get it to fit .

Looking at doing this myself mate. Do you mind If I ask your fan setup? Im considering H80 as push pull exhaust, another 120 exhaust on roof and an extra 140 intake at front (2 x140 intake as case comes with 1 already).

Thanks

I've also got a 300r with a h100 made no alterations to the case just used low profile fans and different screws to hold in place :)
