Hi Gang

Going live for pre order today, we have the new version of the famous 4000D FRAME from Corsair, this time with an integrated XENEON EDGE 14.5" LCD touch screen built into the side panel.

This is a removable touch panel which will be available separately as a stand alone unit at some point also.

The screen is super versatile and can display system metrics, apps and in game chats and statistics.
Being a Corsair product, it also has the ability to function as a virtual stream deck too.

This model comes with RS120 ARGB fans which do not need the Corsair iCUE link or other proprietary lighting controllers in order to function.

kinda useless place, would be good if it could be moved around case, top, front, top of side, left/right side etc.

I'd need to get off my chair, scoot over on the floor, then peer round the table legs to see the screen

Does the screen connect to a motherboard USB header?
The Xeneon edge add-on for the case has 1x USB-C and 1 x DP or HDMI (it seems to vary) cable that route through a hole in the back of the case to plug into your rear I/O. WOuld be nice if the "prebuilt" version could forego that but I'm not sure if the screen can do without the DP/HDMI cable.

The screen is/will be available as a separate thing at ~£220 or so. 2560x720 60Hz. Decent specs but there's some proper Corsair tax on that.
It's useless positioning for me too but most people would have a case like this on their desk. I'll just never understand why the industry leaned so hard into cases being on the right side of the desk...where your mouse is. No such issues on the left.

It comes down to the orientation of the motherboard and components. Most people that want a screen inside the case will also be wanting to see (of show off) their expensive components. So unless the interior of the case is inverted, I can't see many opting for a case with just a screen on the right hand side of the case and no window.

External version of the screen will be a cool option if reasonably priced (also makes for better cooling for the case too).
