Question regarding case filters....

I'm in the process of making a shopping list, and on that list is the Corsair 450D.

This case comes with removable magnetic fan filter on the top of the case.

Now I'm looking at running a H100i or H110 to coll the CPU.

Would I use the fan filter still with the fans blowing upwards (exhaust)??
Would the filter trap any dust that might be in the case, or would I remove the filter altogether?

The PC will be used for about 6-8 daily, occasionally left on over night to Seed, scan etc.

Thanks

I have this case, I think it looks horrible when the roof filter is removed, i have two AF120's in the roof as exhaust and have the filter on still.

Has not been a problem for me :)

Similar but not the same, I have a 'top' air filter above my fans on my H100i in my Fractal case, I have no issues with it

I'm using Apaches at low RPMs and even then the roof filter does not obstruct airflow.

Interesting to hear azibux1's experience, I moved from a Fractal Design Arc Midi purely because the top foam filter restricted air flow so much. That may be due to the low RPM fans I'm using.

Hmm, I have the Arc Midi R2 and I'm using the fans that came with the H100i

Now you mention it though, when I have a spare moment I might check the differences with and without the top of the case on (as that includes the air filter) and see what happens

How would this case compare to the Arc mini 2 and the Phanteks Enthoo Pro)

Unsure at the present time to what mobo i would have, all allow mATX, 450D allows ATX.
