Decided to buy a new case for my new alderlake setup but it got me thinking about setup and placement of things - never really bothered before, just made things as neat as possible and left it as is.

The setup it is going to house is:

12700k
Asus strix z690-A board
Evga 1080 FE
Corsair H150i pro AIO

Now in my current pc the AIO is mounted in the roof of the case but I believe with the 5000d I can fit to the front or to the roof.

Are there any positives or negatives to housing it in the front or roof of the case?

If I place it in the front or roof is it a good idea to place an additional three fans in the other location?

Or is it just a case of it doesn't matter, stick the rad wherever it is easier for it to live?

Any advice welcome.

Regards,

Matt

Thanks for that, probably worrying over nothing but thought I'd ask.

Case had to go back unfortunately, big scratch in the window, replacement on its way - stuck with the same case hopefully this one will be fine.

Had to return case as it was scratched, so am looking for a case with good airflow, that can fit 360 or 420 radiator and if possible in white what would you recommend?
