Corsair 540-Radiators.

Hi all,

Currently running custom watercooling loop in Corsair Carbide Air 540 with single radiator XSPC crossflow 240mm in push-pull config (on top of the case). Now I am thinking of actually populating ALL possible spaces (front: 360mm top 240mm back 120mm).
Can you suggest some radiators that would fit in at least push/pull config? Preferably same brand/design.

I do have enough fans to run at least push/pull on all radiators AND fan ports (fan controller ;) ) to run such setup.

Using 13/10mm if it matters, with some Phobya compression fittings.
Apart from crappy CPU (Intel Pentium K) I run OC'ed MSI GTX980 Gaming 4G (also under water, thank you EKWB :) ) But I will be upgrading to Skylake sooner or later (maybe even 2011-v3) so don't bother asking why I need this.


Together with this I might need to either: change pump(some Phobya pump)+reservoir(Phobya balancer 250 >H200mm x D50mm) location to the chamber where PSU is stored OR buy new (very small) set. Or change current reservoir tube from being 200mm in height to 100mm (available from other retailer).

PC itself:
MSI Z97 Gaming 9 AC BIOS V1.0B1
Intel G3258 4.4GHz @1.25v
Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 4x4GB @1333MHz (currently just 2x4 as I damaged the pins when I inserted delidded CPU, bad design of EKWB water block which in no way stopped/"alerted" me of screwing the screws too far.... :p )
Corsair CX750M 80+ Bronze
MSI GTX980 4G Gaming
Couple of SSDs and HDDs
Creative Sound Blaster Z
Custom LED lighting using Adafruit LEDs and Arduino

Pretty sure you don't need to but if you wanted to why would you feel the need to have push pull on everything with that much rad space? You would be adding unnecessary noise really, I would think your goal was to cool it down so you could down clock the fans and get it nice and quiet...

I've got 2 x 360mm rads in mine, 3 x 120mm on each. I don't need this many to cool my CPU and GPU but I do, the fans run about 40% mostly and the pump around the 45-50% mark. With the same cooling potential in your post above you wouldnt need all the fans, my 6700k is running at 4.6ghz max temps around 55-60c and my 980Ti is cool as hell at max 45-50c despite it being clocked at 1,500mhz.

In short keep in mind you don't really need to but if you want to then I don't feel like you need to have push pull to keep that cool.
 
I only asked for radiator suggestion, not teaching of what I need or not ;) I know what I need, and what I want.
And as far as the fans on rads, I meant either push or pull, but so they fit, instead of having thick radiators and hope that fanless mode will cool it down.

Sorry was confused when you said all with push pull, thought you meant push pull on all rads (fan overload!). Mine is running slim rads if it helps, I honestly think with the size of radiator overall they are sufficient to keep it all nice and cool, you can probably go with some that don't have crazy FPI also to maintain good airflow.
 
I thought of Alphacool ST30s.
Now the problem is... I have used ALL space for HDDs and SSDs. I like the idea of fitting that small res+pump in the back chamber, though I have so much cables that it won't fit :P And as I thought, I would need 45/90° compression fittings.

Cant speak for your build but i've got two EK-CoolStream SE 360 (Slim Triple) in mine, essentially allowed me to cram in the two in a mid sized case and not completely kill airflow.

Just probably last question:
any idea how to make a drain system? Currently got to take the reservoir out, and hold it above a bowl (5l) to drain the system (not comfortable at all!).

You need to buy a ball valve and add it in the loop somewhere 'drainy' so low. Essentially the easiest thing to do is get a T splitter and add it inline with one of your tubes, add the valve to that point and you have a drain. Depends on if you are using hardline or not as to what the best option is but there are plenty of vids around if you have a search for them.
 
Surely just 240mm or 280mm is enough? I cool a hotter GPU and CPU absolutely fine with a 280mm rad (80mm thick though lol). Rather than waste money on multiple rads why not save for an i5 or i7?
 
I will get i5/i7, don't worry about that part, I don't need to buy, just got to wait :)
I just want to get nicely looking loop.

Thanks for the tip on T splitter. Might get it done just between pump and graphics card (which is first component to cool).
It is not hardline tubing.
 
Forgot to ask:
how can I do it so I can put a plug on the end of the bulkhead? I suppose I could leave bulkhead untouched in closed position, but would prefer to secure it with a plug. And I don't know what kind of adaptors/reducers I need to actually make that happen.
