Right I purchased this case a couple of weeks back after having an Antec 900 and was hoping to have better airflow in my system amongst other things (cable management etc)

The issue I have is, I feel my cpu idle temps are too high for what it should be.

Specs are:

i5 2500k @ 4ghz - 1.240v
Asus PXZ68 Motherboard

I'm currently using an Akasa Venom Voodoo Heatsink with dual fan setup for push/pull, however my idle temps are 45-50c. I've just ran a little experiment and left the side panel open and my idle temps are 38-42 idle.

Surely the temps cant be this high for even a Corsair 550D?

Any information/advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

My 2500k is sat neatly @36 degrees @4.5ghz @1.34 volts
Im on a dark rock pro though, and its all in a lian li alu case
What were your old temps?
What is your fan arrangement?

Onl the info given, I would reseat the cooler

I would suggest that as said your cooler is not set properly. Maybe reapply the thermal compound if you feel it is on properly My 550d is sat at 38 Degrees idle right now with panel on.
