Corsair 600T Fan Controller Power Issue

I've had the Corsair 600T case for just over a year now, and I'm having trouble with the fans that are connected to the case's fan controller.

A lot of the time they simply don't work. It used to be just the top and back one, but now the front one also doesn't power on.

The other half of the time the fans run, but only when the dial is turned right up to max. Above 95% turn of the dial they flicker and waver a bit. And anything lower than that they simply don't run at all, no spin, no led light, just no power.

Also to note, if I manually give the front fan a spin, like a kick start of sorts, the led flickers and it sometimes starts to run slowly. The others don't start up at all though, although the led's on the top fan also flicker slightly.

So I'm wondering, what is the problem here? Is it the fan controller? If so, could I buy a different fan controller and use that instead? Or is it an issue with something else (Mobo, Power supply,...) ?

Any help much appreciated, thanks.

Try plugging the fans into the motherboard/PSU(molex) instead of the fan controller.
If they work fine, then its the controller, if they don't its the fan's.
Loads of stuff around the internet about your exact problem though, so its most likely the controller on the fritz.

If it's the controller, you can contact corsair and they will be able to send you a new fan controller (free of charge if I'm not mistaken)

Yeah I just plugged the top and front fans into the motherboard and both run fine, leaving the back one not running at all. So it's definitely the fan controller then.

Will contact Corsair and see what they say.

Thanks.

About a year ago I replaced the fan controller pot on mine to one with a 0V - 12V pot. The factory one is something rubbish like 9v-12v...

Then I ended up getting one of these:

Lamptron FC9 Fan Controller - Black

I have a few 12watt fans so it was great...50Watts per channel...Its a real beast!....

600T is well known for it's crappy fan controller, if you contact Corsair you will get a free replacement, but I'd suggest getting a 5.25" bay Fan controller.

Sorry to revive an old thread, was thinking about getting this case but this issue kinda lets it down, to be fair I would only power the 2x 200mm fans with the controller but no one wants to buy something that has an issue (The controller being useless and having to replace it with a proper FC but keeping the unused dial on the top)

Does anyone know if this has been fixed?
