Has anyone experienced an issue with the built in fan controller?

I got my 600T SE in December and hooked up the top 200mm, front 200mm and rear 120mm fans to the controller which worked perfectly increasing and decreasing the speed of the fans as you turned the dial.

For some reason the fans now aren't responding when I turn the dial and are spinning at one constant speed. I've not made any changes and/or touched the fans over the last few months so any idea what's caused the problem?

i've heard people have had that problem. i havnt with mine. contact corsair about it

The fan controller failed on my 600T SE and Corsair shipped me a complete new case around October last year!

Their customer service is made of win!

My message to "Technical support" -

I have a Corsair 600T SE (the white version with side window which isn't listed under the drop down part list).

For the first few months of ownership the inbuilt fan controller worked perfectly but now it no longer works. The fans spin at one constant speed and turning the dial doesn't not increase or decrease the speed.

This would appear to be a common fault based on other owners.

Their reply this morning -

Hello please send me your Address and we will send you a replacement fan,im sorry for the inconvenance

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

How easy is it to swap over the fan controller? They said they'd send me a replacement but haven't answered my questions about how to swap it.

It is very easy to swap the front panel section out. I had the exact same problem and they sent me whole new case. I lol'ed a little then enjoyed it. Love corsair :p

So that's two of you that had a new case sent. Did they tell you in advance or did a case just turn up when you were just expecting a new controller?

Thanks for that Vector.

As soon as I asked about replacing the fan controller things went very quiet. I'll give them until mid-week to reply before contacting them again.

Seems like this is somewhat exploitable... shame I bought the 650D.

Nah I wouldn't do that though, if a company is good enough to do that then...

What a mess..

"Tech support" stopped replying to me a week ago so I registered on their forum to ask for an update and low and behold four emails arrived an hour later.

The first two emails advise me that I need to send the whole case back to them and provide details on how to do so. I don't think so!

The final two emails then contradicted that by saying a replacement part would be sent out to me today. Unfortunately it listed the wrong part number/SKU and because the form was now "locked" I was unable to reply to point out this pertinent error.

I've posted again on their forum asking for assurance the correct part/sku/item/thingamajig is being sent today.

It's also worth noting that although I've got my POP/invoice next to me they've not asked to see it at any point!

That just arrived. No paperwork, no instructions, nothing.
