just a warning, when you put the hdd cage in the same position as mine, you cannot slide the bottom tray out, it clashes on the bottom lip of the case, so you would have to remove the whole cage to get the bottom drive out
 
Indeed I had the same issue. And of course when you take the cage out, notice the paintwork on the base is now scratched :(

So how come your cage would not slide in. It looks like it should go all the way back. In fact I test fitted it originally and it did slide all the way back. You insert the 2 front pieces on the cage into the base of the case and then push back and it slided back. However my psu cables were sticking out slightly so could not get it into place fully.

no, i mean the bottom tray in the cage would not slide out, the tray fouls with the edge of the case (where the tabs come up for the side panel to attach)

the cage fits no problem, and i was fairly gentle with it and did not damage the paint.
 
Ah, I see. I thought if the thing was slided in fully, the bottom tray would have room to slide out but I can see why it won't now.

I pushed a little hard and scratched the bottom a bit. Nothing a touchup marker or a couple case badges won't hide :)

Just spent last 20 minutes trying to get that 2nd cage installed on front of the PSU. It's a no go. The Rampage III is so wide the case connectors on the board simply block the cage from moving back all the way. I suppose I could come in from the grommet hole where the bottom pci-e cable is going. Probably not worth the hassle.
 
yeah, bad lighting, camera phone, and a monkey operating it, combination for disaster!

looks like you need to leave your HDD cage where it is, other wise you will have to come up with another method of supporting your extra fan for you SLI setup.

I bought 2 of these some time back and they fit perfectly. The tooless 5.25" bays on the 600T sure beat the hell out of anything else I've seen.

So I will be moving the SSD's to 5.25" bays. And I will move both mechanical HD's to the bottom 2 bays on the front drive rack and remove the top drive tray to give more breathing room to the front fan.

I've also bought a 250mm fan and I am planning to mod the sidepanel :)
 
Got tired of nearly busting a gut everytime I moved my 800D. Also I had some resonance issues I could not solve due to sidepanels on the door. And it was a constant hassle cleaning the bottom dust filter. A couple of times I had to get the door replaced too as the screws became loose behind the door and would not thread back in. Also some hot swap issues. etc.. etc..

i considered that, but could not think of an easy way of hiding the extra sata and power cables up the top

I'm will be using a 3 right angle sata power connector to molex connector which uses the same flat cable design as the corsair. Should be able to hide them like you did and have them coming from above the top optical bay. If not going through the rubber grommet at the end of the optical drive isn't the end of the world.
