Corsair 600T

Anyone know if you can still get this case with mesh side panel (not white)? They seem to have disappeared.

White special edition comes with the window and the mesh.

I was going to ask however, I have seen the amount of Fan Headers...4 in total...do these all need to be connected to the mobo? Just curious if there are work arounds as I suspect I don't have anywhere near enough fan connectors on my motherboard.

Yes it can, but in push or pull only configuration. Fans will have to be mounted on the outside of the case (below top mesh) and the radiator on the inside.

Does that mean the fans won't be directly fed to the radiator i.e. sealed via the case so airflow through the rad is reduced?

You can get the mesh/window for the black case as an extra, cost me about £20.

My old case had a window, and to be honest, I probably looked through it twice in the five years I had it. Pointless things. Bought the extra side for the mesh to stick more fans on, swapped out all the rubbish corsair fans, have an uprated 200mm fan in the front, 2x120s up top, 4x120s on the mesh, and changed the 120 at the back for good measure.

The white obviously already comes with the mesh/window pack and has upgraded fans, which probably makes it worth the bit extra, but if your set on the black version, like me (hate white cases) its worth spending a bit on upgrading the fans.

What 200mm fan do you go for? Did you have to move the two HDD cages to fit it?

I tried the coolermaster megaflow but didn't like the way it sat in the case, it also meant you couldn't use the two HDD cages in the original position, but that didn't really effect me as I didn't like them there anyway. In the end I found a Xigmatech something or the other, which is apparently what corsair use in the white 600t, just rebranded as corsair, and plonked it in. It's exactly the same size as the original fan so would work with the HDD cages however you wanted them.

If your going air in the black version of the case then yes I would replace all the original fans, as they are pretty pants.

Just rebuilt my system, spec in sig, in the 600T Special Edition White :D

Boy am I in love with this case...looks the sex! :D

there's a grill between fans and the radiator that will impede the airflow, but it's not too bad. My Missus has 2 Gentle Typhoons in pull config on H100 in this case cooling 2500k @4.5GHz and her temps are just above 30 degrees on idle.

So all in all, with good fans, H100 still has enough headroom even with radiator and fans being separated by the grill

Doesn't make much of a difference with me, check my pics out, have a push/pull config bringing air in through the mesh>fan>rad>fan, this is working well and my temps have dropped considerably since using this case.

My GTX480 SOC is loving it so far having dropped around 20 Degrees C on 100% load during Battlefield 3, max temps of my CPU have dropped around the same from a High of 80-82 to a High of 56-58...

Loving the difference this case has made compared to my old cramped Lian Li.

with H100 it's a slightly different setup: fans>mesh>rad, but still does the trick just fine :)

The only thing is: in pull config fans might need to be raised just a little bit off the mesh to prevent them from hitting it. At least I had to do it with Gentle Typhoons
