Corsair 650D Project

So for a good while now, I have been using a modded Casesom 6788 and yes its an absolute disaster for a case but I am finally upgrading my Case along with a few other things.

Specs :

CPU: Intel I5 2500K @ 4.5ghz
CPU COOLER : Corsair h100 watercooler with push/pull config ( from an akasa venom)
OPTICAL DRIVE :Samsung Blu-ray drive ( from a generic dvd rw )
MOTHERBOARD: Asus P8P67 Pro
MEMORY:16gb Corsair 1600mhz Ram ( from 8gb )
SOLIDSTATE DRIVE : 240gb OCZ SSD
HARD DIRVES :1x500gb WD Raptor
2x 1tb Samsung F1s
FANS: 3xDualblade 120mm Red Led fans
200mm Megaflow Coolermaster fan
GRAPHICS : Asus direc cuii 6950 2gb crossfired with a Xfx 6950 2gb
POWER SUPPLY :Xfx 750w Pro power supply
PERIPHERALS : Razer Deathadder
Razer Artcosa
Samsung syncmaster 2333
Corsair Spd2200s
Corsair Hs1
All housed in a new shiny 650d ;D

I decided from my last case to keep the black and red theme. A lovely total of £800 for upgrades :')

So yesterday the new case, mouse and the H100 arrived ;D the other parts should all be here tomorrow... I hope

There will be loads more photos tomorrow when the rest of the parts come

So the rest of the parts have come today at about 10am

So the old box gets its guts ripped out

It comes with a fair few screws for, hdds mobo, fans ect and a few cable ties as well

The 650d comes with rubber grommets for the fan mounts

The h100 with 4 fans fitted is SO tight, only just able to get it in with the 8pin power for the mother board.

I would have gone blue but the low profile means if the h100 ****s up, and i go back to an air cooler, im not restricted by the size of the ram!

you do know that you can remove that plastic bit where the ssd is? There are some screws located underneath the case to remove it to give better air flow. You can then mount the SSD at the back as I see your HD rack is full.

Additionally if that white zip tie is used to hold the fan controller into place then similarly you can remove that 5.25" drive lock by pushing up on the pin in the middle using a precision screwdriver and it will fall out easily. You can then access the mounting holes for the fan controller and install it correctly. You can then push the drive lock back into place so that everything is OEM.

I didnt know that, ill probably do that later today as my h100 has a noisy pump, its a shame really because its good, keeping my 2500K oc'd at 4.5, at 55C after 6 hours of prime.

Ill take the locking out, id rather not use the zip ties.

I was thinking about going for blue instead of red but I had a few red fans, already as well as the strip of red leds, Im tempted to paint the heat sinks red, its not too much of an issue!

Zip ties are gone, thats been dealt with today h100 all packed up for collection tomorrow! got my old venom in there until the h100 returns

So the h100 is gone now, venom is fitted and my old WD500gb Blue has died and hopefully... My new one should be here in a few hours ^^
