Corsair 6HX620 PSU problem

Just need some clarification from any owners of the Corsair 620 PSU

Just bought one today, and installed it, system boots up fine but the PSU fan doesnt spin at all.

It only does about 4 revolutions when i first power on and then it stops

I take it this is faulty and doesnt spin up after it gets loaded up and the system gets hot ?
 
Well i ran the COJ DX10 benchmark and the fan didnt spin up

It went through the test fine though :eek:

I even pointed a hair dryer at the psu to warm it up, and it didnt budge, so i guess by the replies its faulty.

Just wanted to make sure before I rma'd

dont mean to hijack the thread but i just bought this too, and wish to tell u my experience in light of your issue whch you found.

I had a tagan 480w, placed this in and boom suddenly i hear the fans in the case are noisy, Either its my GPU 8800 gts just kicked in or im not sure as the i place my ear close to the PSU its very Quiet though...

so can any one explain im i know getting enough juice that 8800gts is now proplerly working and its supposed to make hmmm sound of around 32db?
