Corsair 6x2gb Corsair (TR3X6G1600C8D) diff versions?

I've had this memory for sometime running 6gb and had no problems, recently bought another 6gb second hand and since installing noticed my browser would freeze for about 10 seconds then responds again so doesn't actually crash. I've noticed there exactly the same model number but different version numbers, I've currently get it doing mem test 86 with all 6 modules in to see if it errors with the additional 3 added. If it doesn't error and il let it say do 6 runs what else could it be, it's set in XMP mode in bios. Also max Payne 3 video seem to freeze with 12gb in but with 6gb seems fine. Any info appreciated. Any other things I can do to check the memory.

the 3 modules i bought returned errors in memtest where as my orig 3 on there own gave no errors, ive contacted corsair to see if they can replace them under warranty.

Did you run the new set on their own and test with memtest?
