Corsair Obsidian 700D Full Tower Case - Black @ £145.99 inc VAT

CA-025-CS_400.jpg

The steel structure has a matte black coating both inside out and is finished with a brushed aluminum faceplate for a professional look that’s both serious and awe-inspiring.
The power supply compartment, main compartment and the SATA bays each have dedicated cooling subsystems to prevent heat buildup.
A dust-filtered 140mm fan draws in cold air at the bottom of the chassis and exhausts it at the rear and top. This clever design forces fresh air directly over the graphics card and CPU. The hard drive / SSD bays are cooled by a separate 140mm fan which vents from the chassis via a sealed chamber and prevents the heat generated by the drives from entering the main compartment. The power supply compartment has its own dedicated intake and exhaust, also isolated from the main compartment.
Need even more cooling performance? The Obsidian Series 700D has pre-drilled support for top-mounted single, dual, and triple radiators, or up to three additional 120mm fans.
Advanced Features for Extreme Flexibility.
Six drive bays with clever snap-in trays accommodate both 3.5” and 2.5” drives with no adapter necessary. A unique cable routing system virtually eliminates cable clutter that can impede airflow. The tool-free design allows for easy entry, easy access, and quick installation of 5.25” drives.

Wow, this is getting so tempting now. I was going to get Coolermaster 690 Dominator II but seeing how this particular case goes down in price rapidly, I might just grab it for watercooling... No way my wallet won't suffer in the next few weeks...

Wouldn't rate the case as a good air cooler and it vibrates too.

Have to say I wish I'd bought something else.

if its anything like the 800D , all i can say is this...

having it on both air and water ( and both at the same time :p )
ive had no issues regarding cooling just needed to get better quality fans in it.
also noticed a few posts regarding case vibration , again , total silence here.

perhaps there may be the odd flawed one around that creates noise

That's a pretty decent price, I was expecting it to be around £165. Mind you if I was going for a Corsair case I'd probably spend a bit extra and pick the 800D, I've yet to hear a bad word about it. Though in the US the 700D is only $40 (25 quid) cheaper than the 800D, so its a no brainier over there.

I was planning on buying that new NZXT case because the price seemed decent, now I'm a little more curious about this one. I'm used to Lian-Li cases (square, flat, sleek, etc) so I may go with the 700D.
