corsair 700w psu help

Just after some advice please. I have someone iterested in my 7970 which has an 8 pin and 6 pin connectors but he says his psu only has 2 x 6 pin connectors.is it likely to have an 8 pin hidden somewhere? He says it's quite old. He has a gigabyte 270x fitted at the moment which is 2 x 6 pin. If there is just 6 pins is there anything to fit it with? As obviously 700w branded psu is loads

It could have a 6 pin and a 6+2 pin with the extra 2 pin folded away somewhere but if it's a cheap or old psu then they did only come with 6 pin pci-e plugs. Personally I would find out exactly what make and model psu he has (especially if selling on Ebay) because it might not even be able to power the card and you don't want this to come back and bite you in the backside when he blames the card being faulty.

It is definitely a corsair just not sure on the model. I will see if he can find out
