no worries.

obviously the ColdZero version has mounting kit as well(if you can figure out how it goes) but if you get the plate the right size it actually sits there nicely and doesn't move.

I just wish someone in the UK made this stuff. I want to get the mobo plate as well but cant justify the cost right now. If I upgrade to X99 then I will take the plunge.

I'll send you some pics of it when I have it fitted
That bit next too your midplate can be removed mate
What 480 rad do you have in the basement looks very dense

its not the fan but the fan mounting hardware. I think it could be mounted on the other side (outside) but will have a look at the weekend. to be honest though there a 6 fans on the rads pulling air into the bottom chamber so one more wont make a big difference.

having a gap there also allows me to get my mits in to the base section as the midplate stop me otherwise which is useful for cabling.

its difficult to work out if 2x480 with less flow resistance is better than 2x480 & 1x240 with higher flow resistance.

I guess the only way to find out is to remove the 240!

Indeed mate have to drain my loop anyway to get my new parts in i get my parts by friday that coldzero bloke is amazing

What drill bit are you useing for putting your tubeing holes in stepped drill bit?

yup, just picked up a pack of 3 different step bits from amazon as I also need to cut a few holes in a Lian Li D600 and its too expensive to get a tank cutter in 16mm or smaller sizes and a standard drill bit will just rip the metal as its not thick enough.

it complete cheapo Chinese crap but it works search amazon for "Am-Tech Large High Speed Steel Step Drill Set"

cheap and cheerful. i would buy better but i only need to cut 8 holes overall!

i thought about putting the name there or not but figured OCUK dont sell drill bits!

a tank cutter has a pilot drill in the middle and a ruddy great bit circle shaped saw bit on the outside to cut typically 40mm+ holes

I found a nice 3 piece set on the bay which are titanium coated for 7 pounds I think I'll be removing the front panel usb as the wires get on my nerves don't need a power button any way
