Corsair A50 Issue :(

Ordered a full build and it arrived today, just putting the heat sink on only to notice the last screw won't go on, it goes on a little bit but just keeps turning and turning after that, all 3 other screws are fine though.

Wondering would it be safe to use it with only 3 fully tightened screws? Or should I just replace it and not risk it?

Get it replaced, It won't make good contact on 3 corners.

the pressure wont be even, so no. Not sure how it ended up like so. Usually, you screw two opposite corners loosely, then the other two, and you tighten in a criss crossed fashion. That should ensure even pressure on the heat spreader.

Are you fastening the screws correctly?

One turn on each screw at a time, if you fully tighten the screws separately the last one will not line up properly.

I had almost this very issue, one of my `spikes` on the four that are present didnt even have any thread so I just phoned OC and they sent me a whole new fan assembley, although it delayed my build I was more than happy.

@freddie64 Yea I was doing that, but the problem was pretty much the same as Slades. Gotta wait until Thursday now to see if my first build works properly. Doesn't help the nerves but hopefully it'll be sorted soon! Thanks for the help.
