Which would be better?
Both will be used in a dual fan setup (so about the same price after second fan is bought for the CM).

I can only seem to find other threads like this with no facts, just "Oh yeah, well the hyper 212+ is cheap and cooler well, but if you can get the A70 for xx more, then get that".

If someone has the A70, can you post you current load and idle temps (be even better if its on a 2500k).

Thanks :)

Idle:

A70: 49.7
CM 212+: 56

Load:

A70: 53.4
CM 212+: 58.1

Using the A70 and my 2500k @ 4.5GHz my idle temp is 25-27 degrees. Load after a 10 hour prime95 blend test, max temp was 62 degrees.

It's a good cooler and can be had for under £30. I managed to get it for £26 a few months ago and for that price it's fantastic. Although even with the resistors the fans are a bit loud so I'm thinking of switching them to some Apache blacks.

Now those are the temps I want to see. I brought my AC freezer 7 from my AMD build and its shocking with the 2500k....idle temps at 4.4 are mid 40's
