Hi all,

I recently did a new build, which included a Corsair Nautilus AIO cooler.

It seems to be working fine. However, in my old build (with a NZXT Kraken AIO) I could use the NZXT CAM software to monitor and control the fan speeds at different temperatures. Today I downloaded the Corsair iCUE software and it doesn't detect the cooler at all. After a bit of googling, it seems this may be because the new cooler isn't connected by USB and is controlled by the BIOS and MB. Not sure why my old one was different as I can't recall wiring it in via USB! However, I gather that if I want to control fan speeds directly, I'd need to buy another bit of kit (a Commander Core XT to be exact).

Here's the question though: does it really matter? I'm not overclocking anything these days - I have a good rig and I'm happy to run it at its standard speeds. Should I shell out for the device that would let me set fan speed profiles, or just leave it to the BIOS?
