Hi,
I have the kraken g12 bracket with a H75 Corsair cooler on a gtx980 currently, I used to have the same set up on a gtx670 but I’m not seeing the same cooling efficiency on the 980 as I saw on the 670.
So I guess my questions are
Is this because the 980 gets hotter?
Could the H75 be coming to its end of life?
I used the same thermal paste as on the 670 from the kraken box but should I use a better paste?
On a benchmark full load the 670 only ever got to 58c but the 980 is getting up to 70c, which is better than the stock cooler where it got up to 77c.
The cooler itself is second hand and had done a year already, I’ve put another year on that since install so a total of 2 year use.
I will be moving to a custom loop in the future but until I can afford that I will be sticking with this set up so would like to make it as efficient as possible.
Any advice would be great as I’m only 11 months into pc gaming and still learning the ropes.
Cheers
