I am planning on getting a Corsair Airflow 5000d (1x 120mm fan included), Ryzen 7800X3D and MSI Suprim X 4090 for gaming and am now thinking about the cooling. I am not going for flashy LEDs and need the system to be as quiet as possible.

For the CPU - I am thinking about a Noctua NH-D15 Dual Radiator Quiet CPU Cooler with 2 NF-A15 fans
For the Case - I am thinking about 4x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 4 140mm High Speed PWM fans

Will they keep the case well cooled? Any similar priced better/quieter alternatives? Would a greater number of 120mm fans be a better option?

Thanks

That should be absolutely fine. I favour positive pressure, so I'd probably go for 2 x 140 on the front as intake and with 1 x 140 on the top as exhaust, with the 120 on the back also exhausting.

I have seen people fit 3 x 140 in the front, though I think modification was required to do so.

I do think the 5000d comes with 2 120mm fans though?

As you say you don't care about RGB, have a look at the Arctic P14 PWM 140mm fans, there should be some reviews around. I use them for watercooling as they're relatively inexpensive and are actually pretty good. (I use the CO versions though, which are ball bearing if I remember correctly).

From past experience with that case I'd go for 120MM fans, I tried 4x 140MM Noctua and they lasted all of 24 hours before I took them out due to the noise.

I'd put 3x 120MM in the front,
1 in the rear,
1 in the roof if you go for the D15 or you could go for the U12A which has a smaller footprint (the d15 fans will still right up to the glass side panel)

Thanks for the insight, I'll probably go for the 120mm fans then due to wanting to keep the noise levels down and just googled the U12A and agree its probably the better option. Thanks!

Just been googling similar setups to what I am planning to go with and have realised the inside of the case looks very crowded with a big CPU air cooler and a 4090, virtually all builds go with liquid cooling.

Will the U12A cause any issues re. airflow in my case sitting right above the 4090? Or would I be better off liquid cooling my CPU to allow better airflow in my case?

I have the 700d airflow and have the front as intakes, top also intakes and the rear as outrake, it working really well for me and I'm surprised by the lack of major dust build up,and I run a 13900ks with a 4080 and the temps are very good.
