Have corsair sorted out all their issues with cue software and keyboards being fussy as to whether they work or not?

Might take a look at the Strafe silent if they have.

Strafe RGB uses a better controller I am told, capable of full 16 million colors.

Corsair have previous on what they say and what they actually do.

If you're reviewing the Strafe RGB keyboard, please let us know if it can do 16m colour animation without flicker.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have done some homework already by asking for the model of the controller used here, looking it up and even contacting the manufacturer to know what it is capable of. Now when I get the unit, I will dismantle it to verify the controller and then also do the usual CUE test for the color and brightness spectrum.

The launch of the Kxx RGB keyboards was a bit of a joke. Nothing was said about the lack of 16m colours until it was raised by customers. Statements were made by Corsair staff that they were working on an update that would be available in a few weeks time. A few weeks turned into over 6 months before an update gave 16m colours, but 16m colours that flicker if there's any animation. The smooth and fluid 16.8m colour animation was never really delivered, but was being advertised at the time that only 512 colours were available. Not only was the hardware not up to scratch, there were numerous issues with the CUE software and compatibility with PC hardware. Hopefully Corsair have learned a lesson (although if they`ve made a healthy profit on these products, I doubt that lesson will be taken too seriously), and these Strafe keybaords will deliver what they claim.
