Hi all, quick question I have with this PSU.

It says in the PCI-E section in the below picture:

That there are 8 ports for both PCI-E and 4+4 CPU.. Which one is for which? Or are they all compatiable with eachother? Because in the manual it says there are only 6 PCI-E ports and 2x 4+4 CPU ports... however I have no idea which is for which as they look the same. The reason I ask is because I am trying to power 2x 79xx series cards and a 5970 however my PC switches off when the 5970 is plugged in due to what seems to be power issues even though 1200watts is completely plenty

Thanks

Those eight connectors can accept either PCI-E or the ATX cables.

The PSU has a single rail delivering 100amps so careful selection of where to plug the cables shouldn't affect it.

thanks for the reply. Thats so strange that my pc decides to switch itself off after adding it then! hmm..

But thanks will see if maybe the plugs arent fully in properly.
