Corsair c70 side window

I would like a clear side panel for my corsair c70 however I don't have tools to do so is there a good guide to doing it as don't wana mess it up

Edit# I've just had a look and there seems to be a lot of guide to REPLACE the window. Would it not be better and simpler to buy the replacement door panel?

It is super easy. You cut a hole, cust a piece of plexiglass (about 3mm thick). Make it about an inch bigger than the hole and fit it with doublesides tape. Voila a new window is born. You can also buy a piece of window rubber and make the window as big as the hole and fit it in the rubber. So many ways. Also you can fit it ON the case with screws or inside the case with screws. Enough ways, whatever suits your look.

I know, so you order a piece of plexiglass in the correct size. 3 mm plexiglass. Size is up to you. Very easy to work with.

I've been through the past 18 months of CPC's and can;t find the article. I wish they had a blooming index system so you could look up which edit an article was in!!!

Hi mate I too am going for a C70 and want the plain perspex on the side, I found a company in USA, they make em and mod cases, seems pretty reasonable.

But best to email them and ask about cost of postage to UK

I had mine made up by a plastics company. Cost me about £16 I think. Graingate were the company.

If I ever went down the windowed side-panel route again I'd definitely go for smoked, that looks absolutely awesome.

Yeah, i had a CAD design done for it and then sent it to them and told them i wanted smoked.
I will get the design and see if i can host it up for other's to use.

Plastic trim is the standard trim

I recently got the side window from mnpctech

went for clear, don't have lights inside the computer apart from the cpu block

Rossi you know on yours how is it attached to the panel? just by the existing screws? anything else?

also you know the cad file you got did you do the same thickness the same for the panel?
