Could any Corsair 400C/460X owners help me out please - I really love the look of the case and its compact dimensions and the price is right too but am looking for a case that'll accommodate a 360mm rad in the front

Does anyone know/have the ability to measure the clearance between the inside of the front panel and the 3.5" hard drive cage to see what size radiator I could fit in? I'm fairly sure a 27mm rad + fans would fit but most of the rads I've been looking at are 30mm...

Thanks!

I use the Corsair H100 Bulk and the Fractal Celsius S36 in the Q version of the chassis. I can fit the H100 and the 140MM fan at the front of the case, it JUST fits. The S36 fits and you can fit the HDD cage in the position closest to the PSU but a) It gives you VERY little space if you have a modular PSU and b) the shroud that covers the HDD Cage is VERY difficult to fit (The HDD Cage is a pain as well). The main problem is that you have to fit the fans on the FRONT of the Radiator as the cables that come out of the Front I/O point down which clashes with the end tank of the rad.

Hopes that is of some use.

Thank you very much for that - I love the look of the case and have been trying to find a combination that will allow me to do what I want with it.

If you say the S36 fits then that's the same thickness as the rad I want to use so in theory it should go - although I know it's going to be tight with the HDD cage there. Could make the top two fans push pull but not sure if that would look odd.

Hopefully soon I will get a 1TB SSD and not need the 3.5" cage any more but for now it is definitely necessary. There are other larger cases that will do it just fine (even the 270R will, or the Fractal R6) but I like the 400C better :D

Yeah, I have a 400C and its a nice case. Don't get me wrong after building probably about 200 systems in this case you start to spot the failings. But that's just me being a little picky.

That’s great to hear, I’m used to my Antec 902 and that’s certainly far from perfect so I’m sure it’d be a huge improvement. Still haven’t decided between that and a few others but it’s nice to be able to keep it on the shortlist.
