Does or can a corsair closed loop cooler fit to a gpu ?
Im sure iv seen somone do this before ?
But i could be wrong

The card i want to cool is xfx 7850 2gb ghost edition.

As above.

Makes me chuckle when I see people putting these closed loop coolers on their graphics cards, totally ignoring the VRM etc and then wondering why they're getting artifacts and crashes despite temps being low :p

Surely sticking some aluminium/copper heatsinks and making sure there's some airflow over them should be sufficient. From the coolers I've seen, most are just cooled by the airflow from the gpu cooler's fan without direct contact.

there is the ARCTIC Accelero Hybrid which is an aio system that is designed for this job and it also cools the vrms too.

Iv seen them. The last price i saw one was 100 lickers. Hence why i was asking about a closed loop system :)

Cooling the vrms isnt a big issue. I have some tiny heatsinks from an old ati card i can use.

That is basically a commercialised version of a popular mod

Look at a 580 cooler, it is made up of a metal heatsink and a shroud+fan combo.

The ides was to replace the heatsink with the AIO watercooler block but still be able to have the fan and shroud keeping the smaller components cool

This is what i have done to my second PNY 580. My first one is the liquid cool version and i bought the cooler separately to go on the second 580 i bought so they both have a AIO loop each. Now there is no difference between them.

I bought some cheap full cover blocks second hand a while back, but these AIO loops have done the job well enough so far, i am waiting until i need to do a full watercooling overhaul before i implement them as part of my custom loop.

yes its possible. you just need to get the bracket to install the water block to your Gpu. I'm using H100 on my gtx580.

hi, where did you get the bracket from ?

or did you have to get one made ?

if i had to get one made, i might get one that also touches the VRMs aswell to help them keep cool ?

hmmmm

if your looking for a low-cost solution, you can use cable ties to hold the block to the card
