Hi I’m wondering if anyone can help with this, I’ve got the Corsair Cool water kit and I’ve not had enough time to sit down and have a proper look till now. I thought that installing water would make my system quieter but tbh it’s not much quieter than having just fans. The only things I have in my systems that makes noise are the rad fan and the pump, incidentally the pump is on the outside of the case. I was just wondering if anyone has this kit and there’s is also noisy or maybe I’ve not installed it right but it’s really annoying me.

Cheers

Maybe you can remove the fan and put in a quieter one? I recommend AeroCool Turbine fans

As for the pump, depending on size available/tubing you could replace it with a Laing D5, or maybe try and isolate any possible vibrations

My pump made LOADS of noise until I removed it from the standard sticky pad, stuck it in a drive bay on top of a sock. Worked a TREAT. There were also bubbles causing a lot of noise in the loop. Get rid of these and stick some acoustic dampening material around it (about an inch) to make sure it's not touching the case and it's mint. Quieter than my HDD now :D

Great guy thank very much for the replies.

I never used the pad I got with the kit because eh, I lost it, so I cut up a sponge and stuck that too the pump works a treat.

The noise seems to be coming from the rad, it’s on the outside of the case but still shouldn’t be making this much noise, I’ll try removing any air that might be in it and failing that I’ll have a look at the fan recommended.

Thanks again guys T00thBru5h and Zefan

Cheers
