Hi guys
Since stock is very hard to get can I add more than 5 fans to my cooling node with a splitter say an extra 2 fans?
Also am I right in saying if it's OK the corsair software will only see 1 fan?

Hello delpy,
I believe the cooling node will only support up to 5 fans. See link. So we don't really know if adding a splitter and add two fans will work in terms of monitoring rpm and customization.

hi Greybeard I got an answer on the corsair forum saying each channel will support upto 2 amps? so my thinking is that I could add two sp 120s at 0.09 amps each :) the only reason for this is I cannot get a cooling node anywhere and Im not willing to pay £68 for another link commander and light and cooling node

Not sure who posted that, but to be more accurate, each fan port will support up to 1amp. All 5 fan ports will support up to 4amps. So technically, as long you do not exceed that total allowed current across 5 fan ports, then you should be good.

Hi Greybeard I did not even get the chance to try this out as my newer cooling node went poof with a nice plume of smoke
Not sure what happened but my second node on channel 1 and 2 won't power fans and I now have no link commander as that won't light up and nothing shows on my link software screen any ideas what I do and does this get sorted by corsair or the etailer I bought them from

Sorry to hear that delpy. How many fans were connected in the node when that happens?

Try your etailer first and see if you can get it swap out, it's probably going to be quicker. If not, then let me know and we will get it replaced via RMA.

Hi Greybeard 4 on the older node 3x for front of 900d and 1 from rear of case and connected 3 sp120s to the new node and turned on and it went snap crackle and pop, the etailer said they would refund me on the newest cooling node but I've gone through corsair and they have started an rma but not sure what to do as corsair have just sent the standard rma email?

Just checked your ticket and it looks like a cooling node was sent out.. tracking info also available. Did you get that info yet?

I'm sorry, just got confirmation.. it was actually the whole Corsair link kit that includes the Commander, Cooling node, and lighting node.

Hi Greybeard just got an email from corsair saying a cooling node has been shipped but not sure what to do about the other two bits

I'm sorry for not getting back to you soon about this. Just got off the phone with our customer service and got a confirmation that it was already shipped. But it may take some time because of the courier they used to ship it out. We expect it to be there next week, if not let me know.

Also, I've responded to your ticket you created in our system.
