Corsair CX 750 Semi Modular - Crossfire?

Hey everyone

Will a Corsair CX 750 semi modular be suitable for running two Radeon 7950s in CF? Or should I be looking at a model other than the Builder series? PC spec is in my sig

It meets the requirements. Wouldn't recommend if you were buying new but if you already have it might as well. How long have you had it now?

I personally wouldn't run an overclocked i5 and 2 x 7950 on a Corsair CX. If you haven't already bought it then there are better alternatives.

Thanks for the replies. I made the decision to go for a Corsair RM850i instead. I've never been one for buying cheaper components but the price on the CX seemed too good to ignore when I saw it! I thought better of it in the end

Spending the extra on the 850w should future proof me a little more. I'm currently running a TX650M that I've had since June 2013 but it isn't enough to power the two 7950s. That's why I need the upgrade

I strongly suggest you purchase a Superflower built unit instead (i.e. SuperFlower or EVGA Supernova branded units), such as this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/evga...-platinum-modular-power-supply-ca-028-ea.html

Better power supply for virtually the same money. There's a reason they have a great reputation, and the value for money just cements that.

Would go EVGA myself just so there aren't any silly LEDs.

Ok cool, I've changed my order to an EVGA SuperNOVA 850 Gold. I know you recommended the Platinum but I think that the Gold should be absolutely fine for my needs. My PC isn't on all day.

Fwiw, from the RMi that you had, the RMx variant would have been a better value.
