Sorry for another one of these.. I'm pretty sure it will but with this setup, could a cx 500 handle it?

GTX 970 MSI @ stock
i5-2500k @ stock
8gb ripjaws

With absolutely no overclocking the aforementioned PSU should be okay?
It's been powering a 7950 and i5-2500 for about 3 years..

Thanks

Comfortably. You haven't said which version of the CX500 you have (there have been multiple versions) so you either have 408w or 456w on the 12v rail. It's a fairly poor quality psu but taking the worst case scenario of 408w you will still have loads of headroom. With no overclocking at all I doubt if you would hit much more than 250w total system power draw at the wall (power draw at the wall is always more than what the psu is actually delivering to the components).

The psu should be able to handle that setup without struggling. But since you say it's 3 years old, and with it not exactly being a top of the range psu, it wouldn't hurt to get an upgrade. I'd recommend a xfx 650s
