Same blurb applies to triple channel. Basically, you're guranteed to get identical sticks in a set with identical specs that will have been through quality control as a full set, thus guaranteeing full compatibility with eachother.
Serial numbers are usually on a sticker on the sticks themselves.

I formatted the drive and installed Windows 7 64bit without a hitch !!!!!!!!
I downloaded all the updates and am about to make a backup image.
What happened this time that was different, was that I used two sticks of a matched pair BUT this time I inserted them into slot 3 and 4 and left 1 and two empty.
Does this tell anyone anything ?

Some motherboards will say to use 4gb it has to go in certain colour slots and not the other. Then only use the other slots when going for the full amount. Manual will say which
