When these sticks arrived on my desk today I could not resist having a play as it may be a part I end up using in one of my 8 pack designed systems. I am always mindful of efficientcy and I like my systems to outperform others even if they have exactly the same clock speeds. Which they wont be as mine will be higher clocks too!!!

The Dominator Plats look fabulous with the black and silver heat spreaders. The XMP on these is 12-14-14-36 2T. I thought maybe I can do better than that ;) lets see how I faired.

The CPU is not a binned one just a retail one pulled from the warehouse on Friday. Its memory controller is strong though as it handled 2800 fairly well.

I did mem test first and then further stability checks. This is where they tuned down to.

Giving very impressive Maxmem scores for bandwidth in Read, Write and Copy. Remember CPU for this one is at stock.

A good result I think 11-13-12-25 1T with tight subs for the frequency being attained.

This is a product I look forward to benching with and building with in the very near future.

have you tried any the new Crucial Sport VLP's (think they new?) 1.35v

i got 8gb for a new build i just did, mostly bcos they small black and cheap but they meant to clock good, wonder if you tried them, tho im guessing value isnt a big consideration in a lot ur tests :)

For my systems Performance will be the main focus along with amazing aesthetics, support and warranty. They will be the best in terms of efficiency too. We will be giving good value in this I can assure you as pricing will be competative for what are an exclusive line in systems.

If they are 1.35v I am guessing those Corsairs are Samsung IC. I have not tested them but if hey are Samsung I would not be surprised if they clock well.

I know it's an old thread, but did you ever get any further testing these 8-Pack?

Running them on my R4BE, 4930k

Found this with the help of google when searching for OC's on this memory.

Cheers for the reply 8-pack

I've been reading up on Hynix MFR used in these kits and it's not a great write up as you mention.

Would I be better off going with 2400/2600 kits with lower timings like teamgroup and overclocking them.

I notice you put the 2400 versions in your super nova's .

Had the corsair's running 11-12-12-25 1T @ 2800 MHz. My 4930k seems to handle this well enough.

CFR is the best hynix die at around 2800. Usually rated C11 and works well.

At 2600 Teamgroup are hard to beat currently. Corsair 2666 C10 where top dog but are EOL now. Both are Samsung IC.

I still have my old BFR by GSKILL that can do like C9 3100 on LN2 amazing kit.
