Corsair force 3 SDD - 80k IOPS

£88 where? All I've seen are over £110, which is 1/3 more expensive than the Agility. Sandforce drives are too problematic though. I'd either wait another couple of months to get all the firmware sorted out, or get a Crucial.

The corsair force 3 drives use lower quality memory chips compared to ocz's agility and vertex 3 resulting in lower performance, even though they use the same memory controller. Besides please list a drive that has given specifications that have been met by proof from benchmarks :L IMHO i think that any drive other than the force gt and the vertex 3 are a complete waste of money since the pricing is so cheap and are also similar pricings for the last gen ssd's so why get 2nd best when for about £10-£30 more you can get the absolute best e.g. vertex 3 which still holds the crown over any other ssd

the force 3 SSD operates almost exactly the same as the Agility 3. There are slight variations in boths favour almost to minimal to mention. Same controller, Same memory modules. I did a fair bit of research, so basically go for the cheapest IMHO :)

Can someone please fill in my ignorance by explaining what 80k IOPS is?

I am assuming a method of read/write performance indication such as 50 watt RMS - RMS being the tested method / indicator / measurement I cant find the right word

Just a quickie to TheMorningStar

How much of an overall PC improvement did you see when going over to the Corsair SSD?

Thanks
