I purchased a Corsair Force Series 3 SSD drive the other day and after running some benchmark tests I've discovered it's getting now where near it's true potential. I'm getting a read/write speed of 202/138 MB/s yet the drive is rated to get over 500MB/s each way.
I have a Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 motherboard, the drive is connected to the SATA 3 port, normal HD is connected to a SATA 2 port.
I replaced the SATA cable with different one, which says on the side that it's rated for 6/3Gbps. AHCI is enabled in the BIOS and both the BIOS and firmware on the drive itself have been updated.
Any ideas? Screenshot of my test results.
