For months now my SSD has been extremely slow. I have tried updating the fw, changing ports, updating my sata controller drivers and changing between IDE and ACHI modes. The SSD is a Corsair Force 3 120Gb SSD. I was comparing with a mates Intel SSD 520 180gb and the results were as follows:

Corsair -Max Sequential R/W (ATTO) 550 MB/s sequential read — 510 MB/s sequential write.
Intel - Internal Data Rate:550 MB/s (read) / 520 MB/s (write)

Out of ideas what else I can do. Really frustrating as SSDs are so expensive and my 2tb is faster! Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

its also nearly full which wont help as those drives use asynchronous nand where performance drops off if drives nearly full

heres my corsair force gt 60gb for comparison

those look right for sata2 speeds, atto is the best benchmark for sandforce drives

are you using the latest intel rapid storage drivers? that will help with speeds slightly, you can also try on the marvell sata3 ports

heres latest intel storge drivers, just install them from within windows

EDIT: actually your read speeds looklike your already on the marvel ports?

I have marvell ports and it's connected to the first sata3 port :(

Edit: was having a look at my device manager and noticed this very odd controller. I have disabled it for the mean time

that's about right for the early sata3 marvell ports, you wont be able to use the intel rst drivers for those but you can for the other intel sata ports
