Hi guys.

My Corsair GS700 PSU is behaving quite strangely. Under no load the cooling fan decides to spool up. When it used to only spool up under moderate gaming. Which leads me to worrying that it could be on it's way out? I felt the back of the PSU and it's quite hot.

I have a nice Corsair 540 case so airflow isn't an issue.

I've got an i5 3570k overclocked to 4.4GHZ.
Geforce GTX 670 MSI
8GB Kingston DDR3 1600MHZ memory
x3 AF 120mm case fans
x1 AF140mm case fan
H100 AIO cooler

Any thoughts?

Alex.

The fan spins up when it reaches over 20% load.

If its nmot doing it anymore while under stress then it must be faulty, I am sure your parts should pull more than 20% of 700W = 140W
